These two landmark projects used text, graphics, animation, sound, video and interactivity to educate at risk youth. The frank video, deeply researched subject matter, unique interactive design and interface were recognized with a New Media InVision awards for technical excellence and overall best of show in 1993.
The audience was primarily teenagers who had lived much of their life on the streets, in detention centers and halfway houses. The interface was designed with a street graffiti look.
We provided the graphic design and programming for the two projects. The projects were supported by the State of Texas and produced under the guidance of Dewey Winburne at the American Institute for Learning in Austin.- RL
