By using a painting scheme that takes into account a building's structure and orientation to the natural light, we can integrate it into the urban/natural environment. In the case of this parking lot, a color scheme that respects the orientation to the southwest gives an uplifting sense of light to the entire block.

The southwest facing main facade is painted to show a sunset color while the east facing facade and east facing details reflect a cooler morning light. Each level of the lot has its own color from the green of the earth at the bottom progressing to the blue of the sky. The result is a more peaceful as well as attractive area for the citizens.
